There is such beauty in this human life we live, and there is power within each of us–male and female–to unlock the spiritual gifts available to all God’s children. When the innate power of being a child of God is yoked with the spiritual gifts of God, miracles do happen.
Each of us comes in to this life with gifts and talents we are expected to share with others. In my search for answers, I realized that there was no safe haven for LDS people who are experiencing these unique gifts and trying to find their place in the world, the church, their families.
There have been many cultural changes in both the world and in the LDS church in the last 100+ years and for many members, their more unique spiritual gifts are surrounded by fear of doing something wrong, or they are unable to identify what is happening to them.
Because of this, after many promptings from the Spirit–which eventually became jolting with an invisible cattle prod–I realized (much to my dismay at my own inadequacies) I needed to create this space.
To those who face these feelings or are themselves questioning, we remind you of Moroni 7:12-14: “Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God…behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God. Wherefore, take heed my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge…that which is good and of God to be of the devil.”
So please note, this page is not for those who belittle or judge others’ questions and experiences, however unfamiliar they may seem. Come with an open mind and heart, and you may be surprised what you may learn.
There is a reason so many of us are experiencing these gifts so strongly, now more than ever. These gifts are desperately needed as the evils of the world continue to flourish in astronomical ways. We need to develop and hold our light up to shine on this darkness and help the others around us who are struggling to follow that brighter pathway. Honing our spiritual gifts is one way we must prepare for the Savior’s 2nd coming.
This blog is not necessarily a place for debate of right or wrong–black or white. This is a place where colors of all varieties are welcomed and encouraged. We encourage you to paint on your canvas the colors of your heart without fear of persecution or judgement. Friendly discussion is always welcome, but tearing down others gifts, belittling them, making them feel that what they are experiencing is evil or crazy is not welcome here.
Each of us is on our own path to discover who we are and what we can become. Please feel free to ask questions, encourage and uplift others in their experiences, and enjoy your safe haven.
We want to share our journey with you: through the experiences, trials, and countless prayers myself and others that participate in this podcast and blog that have been offered while seeking answers to the “mysteries” of God. Hopefully, you can find answers to your own personal quandaries and teach us along the way as well! Come learn more about spiritual gifts, and seek earnestly with your brothers and sisters to develop them, that we all might be edified together.
